Allium is led by a management team with many years of experience and proven capability in the high-tech and medical device industry.
Asaf Alperovitz / CEO
Mr. Asaf Alperovitz served as the Chief Financial Officer of Syneron Medical Ltd. (NASDAQ: ELOS) from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, he was the Israeli Site Manager and Chief Financial Officer of Omrix Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. From 2005 to 2008 he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Tefron Ltd. From 2003 to 2005, Asaf was the Chief Financial Officer of Corigin Ltd., an enterprise Software Company. Asaf held various management positions in the high-tech area of Ernst & Young, both in Israel and in California for eight years including the management of the Israeli Desk of Ernst & Young in California. He has a strong background as a public company Chief Financial Officer, including relevant experience with three global companies. Mr. Alperovitz is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Economics and a Masters in Business Administration from Tel Aviv University.
Dikla Pinto-Gerbi, CPA / Chief Financial Officer
B.A. in Business Managment (majoring in Accounting) and MBA (majoring in Finance Managment), all from the Collegue of Managment in Israel; a Certified CPA. Prior to joining Allium, Dikla served for 6 years as Manager of public and private companies in Kesselman & Kesselman (the Israeli representative of PwC).
Liat Hadad / VP of Business Development & Marketing
Ms. Hadad has over 15 years of experience in the Israeli High Tech industry in Investments, business development, marketing and sales. Prior to joining IBI Liat has served as a Director of Business Development at McCann Erickson Digital Israel responsible for creation and execution of marketing and sales strategy and leading the business development activities in Israel. Ms. Hadad served as an associate in the Life Sciences Division of Giza Venture Capital where she oversaw the full spectrum of business development activities, including deal sourcing, scientific and market evaluations, due diligence and deal making for medical devices in various stages of development. Formerly, Ms. Hadad was responsible for the operational component of IBM’s E-Business commerce projects and worked at Girafa.com as Business Development Director. Ms. Hadad holds an Executive MBA in Entrepreneurial Studies, Marketing & Finance and BA in Sociology & Political Science, both from Tel Aviv University.
Ziv Kalfon / VP of Engineering & Technology
With significunt experience in developing medical products, Ziv is managing the engineering group at Allium. Before joining Allium he served for 5 years in few R&D positions in GE Healthcare (previously Versamed) and 3 years at Mediguide as Bio-engineer. ziv holds an B.Sc in mechanical engineering and M.Sc in bio-engineering from the Technion - Israel institute of Technology.
Elissa Burg – VP of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs
Elissa Burg brings more than 15 years of experience in management of Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs and Production in the Medical Device and Pharmaceutical industries. She has expertise in start-ups of international R&D projects, in regulatory activities with European Notified bodies and the FDA. Prior to joining IBI Medical, Elissa served as the QA & RA Director at Plastmed Ltd. and EQUASHIELD Medical Ltd. Both companies develop and manufacture fluid drug admixing and transfer systems which are FDA/CE approved medical devices and are marketed globally. Prior to that, Elissa served as a Sterile Production Manager at the pharmaceutical company Pharmos Ltd. and was responsible for the production of sterile drug solutions for pre-clinical and clinical studies. Elissa holds a BSc in Biology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Shay Arotchas – Chief Operational Officer
Mr. Shay Arotchas has over 14 years of experience in industrial engineering in the IT and Operations arena. He has gained his experience from large Hi-tech, medical device startup companies. Prior to managing Allium, Gardia and IBI Medical's operational activities, Shay managed his own company which specialized in contract manufacturing of medical devices and prior to that has served as the VP of Operations in Disc-O-Tech Medical Technologies. Following the company's acquisition by Kyphon/Medtronic Corp, Shay led the process of transferring the company's knowledge and manufacturing activities. Shay's expertise is in transferring medical device products from the R&D phase to production, while ensuring manufacturability and quality of the products and building the required infrastructure within the information and quality systems. Shay has a BSc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Coventry University at Rupin College.
