Allium is led by a management team with years of experience and proven capabilities in the high-tech and medical device industries.
Mr. Asaf Alperovitz served as the Chief Financial Officer of Syneron Medical Ltd. (NASDAQ: ELOS) from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, he was the Israeli Site Manager and Chief Financial Officer of Omrix Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. From 2005 to 2008 he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Tefron Ltd. From 2003 to 2005, Asaf was the Chief Financial Officer of Corigin Ltd., an enterprise Software Company. Asaf held various management positions in the high-tech area of Ernst & Young, both in Israel and in California for eight years including the management of the Israeli Desk of Ernst & Young in California. He has a strong background as a public company Chief Financial Officer, including relevant experience with three global companies. Mr. Alperovitz is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Economics and a Masters in Business Administration from Tel Aviv University.
Mr. Ariel Rubashkin,
Mr. Rubashkin served in a various positions, including three years as the Global VP of Finance, in Syneron Medical Ltd. (NASDAQ: ELOS) from 2007 to 2014. Prior to that, he was the Controller of Plastro Gvat Ltd. (A public traded company on Tel Aviv Stock Exchange). From 2003 to 2006 he served in the high-tech area of Ernst & Young, Israel. Mr. Rubashkin is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Economics from Haifa University and a Masters in Business Administration from Tel Aviv University.
VP of Sale and Marketing
Mr. Jacob holds B.A in health system management and an MBA majoring in marketing. Prior to Allium, Itay was an international sales manager at Mennen medical/MTRE. has more than 10 years experience in the global medical field and also founded his own international marketing agency, supplying innovating marketing solutions. He joined us on 2014 as a strengthening force, following our sales growth around the globe.
VP of R&D
Mr. Kalfon has over 15 years of experience in developing medical products, Ziv is managing the R&D and Engineering groups at Allium. Before joining Allium he served for 5 years in various R&D positions in GE Healthcare (previously Versamed) and 3 years at Mediguide. ziv holds an M.Sc in bio-medical engineering and B.Sc in mechanical engineering from the Technion - Israel institute of Technology.
VP of QA & RA
Mr. Hod Has B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, MBA and CQE (Certified Quality Engineer). Has over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. The positions he performed were VP R&D, QA and RA, VP R&D and operations, senior project manager – all in the medical device industry including more than 10 years with implants. Eitan has experience within quality assurance, regulatory requirements, FDA submissions, CE approvals, V&V testing including experience in biocompatibility testing / shelf life and packaging for sterile products, responsible for medical devices through the whole life cycle from a concept to commercialization. Eitan has also experience in labeling design, sterilization process and PMS.
Dr. Vardit Segal
Dr. Vardit Segal holds a Ph.D. degree in Bio-Medical engineering from the Technion, Israel institute of technology. Vardit has 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. Previous to joining Allium Vardit was the VP clinical and Regulatory at Remon Medical, following Remon acquisition by Boston Scientific and before joining Allium Vardit was the VP Clinical and Business Development at Betastim.
Vardit has vast experience in a lot of aspects of the medical device industry including QA, Regulation, Clinical, Business Development and IP. She managed clinical studies in India, Europe, Israel and the US and performed regulatory submissions at Europe and the US.
Chief Operational Officer
Mr. Shay Arotchas has over 14 years of experience in industrial engineering in the IT and Operations arena. He has gained his experience from large Hi-tech, medical device startup companies. Prior to managing Allium, Gardia and IBI Medical's operational activities, Shay managed his own company which specialized in contract manufacturing of medical devices and prior to that has served as the VP of Operations in Disc-O-Tech Medical Technologies. Following the company's acquisition by Kyphon/Medtronic Corp, Shay led the process of transferring the company's knowledge and manufacturing activities. Shay's expertise is in transferring medical device products from the R&D phase to production, while ensuring manufacturability and quality of the products and building the required infrastructure within the information and quality systems. Shay has a BSc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Coventry University at Rupin College.
